My name is ZB, and I've been painting since before most contractors in Portland were in the business.
I trained for 11 years in Poland and Western Europe, where the standard wasn't "good enough", it was correct, or it wasn't. After that, 8 years in Manhattan doing the kind of high-end residential work where clients notice everything. I brought that with me to the Pacific Northwest in 1995, and Forum Painting has been here ever since.
Most of our work comes from referrals. We've never had to push hard for business, because clients talk. They notice the finish on the trim. They notice the edges. They notice that we left their home cleaner than we found it. That's not a selling point we invented, it's just what happens when you're trained to care about the details.
We do full interior repaints, trim and detail work, and single-room projects throughout Portland, Lake Oswego, and Beaverton. If a job is worth doing, we do it properly. The prep, the layers, the finish, the European way takes longer. It also lasts longer.
